In this session we look at how to deal with Leifang and her infamous shoulders!

If you're interested in learning Leifang check out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyGTsAdvFn4&index=12&list=PLV4Z7LoRwodA0Boq1N9kJpiELxNBjF38N&t=4s

Here's a sample MU write-up: http://www.freestepdodge.com/threads/the-christie-match-up-thread.2094/page-2#post-249182

Additional Notes:
- Leifang wants to intimidate you into being scared to do anything, be sure to hold your ground and keep your wits among you!
- H+K is a safe (-5) meaty attack that is commonly used as a forced tech
- When her back is to a wall, Leifang's 214T turns into a powerful corner combo throw
- Watch out for 4P+K, 3H, 46P, 1P+K & 3P+K commonly used as panic buttons. If you bait them out punish accordingly (1P+K is really cheap though...)
- Standing offensive holds (OH's) are really good against the "shoulder" attacks. If you play a grappler or pseudo-grappler, abuse OH's against Leifang

Summary:
- Respect the Shoulder
- Shake up Leifang with lows (fast lows with good range are optimal)
- Fight from mid-long range if you can and try not to get baited into a trap
- If you're unsure of how to approach, playing defensively and noting how Leifang is trying to open you up can be helpful. If you're mindful and not reckless, Leifang won't net easy damage off you
- Blow up the sabaki stance with a strong high or mid kick
- But don't spam mid kicks, because the Expert Mid Kick Hold will make you sorry!

7 8 9

4 5 6

1 2 3

Each number represents the corresponding direction. 1 for "Down-Back", 9 for "Up-Forward", 5 for "Neutral" or no input, etc. Quarter-Circle Back = 214, Quarter-Circle Forward = 236, Half-Circle Back = 63214, Half-Circle Forward = 41236, etc.

For Input commands:

P = Punch
K = Kick
H = Hold/Guard Button
T = Throw Button
P+K = Strong punch
H+K = Strong Kick
H+P = Alternate Way to Input "Throw"
