DOA6 - Advanced Guide Tutorial - Session #7 HANDLING NEGATIVE FRAMES
60Dead or Alive 6's seventh session of the advanced guide looks at frame disadvantage and the meta behind it. When you're at -8 or worse, you can punished with an unbreakable i7 throw as long as said i7 throw can reach within the punishment window (be careful if the opponent is in crouching or air state). From anywhere from -1 to -5, non-grapplers can't punish this disadvantage and instead should employ a mix-up, whilst focusing on what the opponent may do to defend themselves (i.e. block, sidestep attack, crush attack, etc.). At -6 & -7 disadvantages, the attacker can choose to go for an i5 breakable throw if it can reach, or employ a mix-up similar to -4 or -5 disadvantage. If you know the opponent will push buttons, you can CH them with 6P for a +20 or so stun or go for a reasonably fast launcher to thwart abare attempts (attacks from disadvantage).

Each number represents the corresponding direction. 1 for "Down-Back", 9 for "Up-Forward", 5 for "Neutral" or no input, etc. Quarter-Circle Back = 214, Quarter-Circle Forward = 236, Half-Circle Back = 63214, Half-Circle Forward = 41236, etc.
For Input commands:
P = Punch
K = Kick
H = Hold/Guard Button
T = Throw Button
S = Special Button
P+K = Strong punch
H+K = Strong Kick
H+P = Alternate Way to Input "Throw"
H+P+K = Alternate Way to Input "S"
