Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods came out in 2013 and it was the reinvigoration that the franchise needed. And in 2014 the world got Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z for PS3, Xbox 360 and the Playstation Vita. The name Battle of Z felt perfectly fitting for what this game aimed to accomplish. The "Z" in the title drew on the concept of "Zenkai"β€”that ability unique to Saiyans, where they come back stronger after every defeat. It was a promise, really: a comeback, a return to form for Dragon Ball gaming. At least, that’s what everyone was hoping.
