Map Making in Dominions 5 is a large artwork undertaking but the actual map editing is relatively easy. There are a lot of aspects when making your map that will make the process much easier when you get to the editing process. Originally, I thought I may be able to do this in one video but there is a lot to cover so I split it into 4 parts. I hope this helps other map makers out there.
1. Preparing the Artwork
What you need to be aware of with your artwork files.
2. Using the Map Editor
The in-game map editor is very powerful and has some features to make map-making relatively quick.
3. Editing the .map File
There are some simple changes you need to make to the .map file but there are a lot of extra things you can do if you get your hands dirty. This episode shows both aspects.
4. Steam Workshop
Once the map is built, uploading to the Steam Workshop quick and easy.
