265Coming off of a fantastic result at Fuji last week, Dave Cam is staying in virtual Japan for the eighth week in iRacing‘s 2023 Season 1. Dave is again competing in the iRacing GR Cup, and this season, he’s going for the gold.
With three wins and two runner-up finishes across seven weeks, Dave sits 10th points entering the next race up, a race that Dave has been dreading, that being at the Tsukuba Circuit. The venue is relatively small, weighing in at 2.045-kilometers (1.271-miles), and the racing there is a squeeze as well.
It’s been quite the inaugural calendar for the official GR Cup series, which utilizes the new-to-iRacing Toyota GR86. Today, Dave starts in third position, but as he expected, the elbows will be out in full force.
