In this video I discuss the new 2020 roadmap released for Don't Starve Together - and how the new reworks, events and updates will make 2020 another excellent year.

Earlier today, Klei dropped their promising 2020 roadmap - which briefly goes over their plans for DST this year.
This roadmap is a bit different from last year's - it's a lot more vague, with much less specific promises.
To recap, the 2019 roadmap promised 'new lands with new biomes,' a new character rework *every month*, and a total of 4 brand new characters in the world. Which is a lot.
Keeping this year's roadmap broader is definitely the right way to go - all we've been specifically promised is an update of any sort every month - for a total of 12. If an 'update' includes things like events (chinese new year, winter's feast, hallowed nights), full game updates, character reworks, and new characters, the 1-per month goal should be much more achieveable - although still a massive amount of work. It is plausible that this may change, due to Klei's mindset of quality over quantity.
Klei also took the time to shout out Re-Gorge-itated and Forged Forge: two mods that added the game's temporary events as optional gamemodes avaliable to play at any time.
It's awesome to see the developers highlighting community achievements like this - if you haven't played the two mods yet, be sure to give them a shot. Massive congratulations to the mod's dev teams for their excellent work!
Their is also a pretty large hint towards the first character rework - this image was posted alongside the roadmap.
From what we can see it looks like this rework will be for Wendy - judging by the appearance of red flowers and that familiar-looking motif above the door frame. Wendy is also a pretty highly demanded character in terms of a rework - her playstyle is a bit bland especially when compared to the characters who have recieved their reworks.
Klei has also discussed new lore drops in the near future - although, of course, there aren't any in the roadmap post itself. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for future hints toward the game's backstory.
That just about sums up the roadmap for this year. There isn't a ton to discuss, but that's hopefully for the best, so Klei can worry less about deadlines and more about working on the game.
