long, complex, non linear map. the author himself told me he had changed plenty of things in here from his first project, to make it even more non-linear oriented. Like in other levels of the wad, there are several forks here, and planning a route took quite long. Also because I had discovered a few "troubles" the playtesters hadnt found. In a few case there are some issues with monsters teleporting, like at the beginning at the switches wall (you should clear the previous wave of monsters before calling the next or some won't spawn), and at the first baron. The route in this video is totally different from the one I went for at first. In the older route I broke through the map in a totally different order. But coming from the other side of one of the rooms, meant to have a few monster not appearing by teleport sadly. So, after a day or two of speedrunning, I had to replan everything from.. start. great. That was the point I started to "hate" the level :p
hardest part of the level was for me the large area behind the redkey, because arriving there with plenty of ammo & armour is complicated. The PEs and cacos can also missbehave, in particular lots of times there were hordes of lost souls before I could even think about what to say. The few rockets I launched like a crazy to the second elemental were quite an hint I guess ;) There are a few areas with lots of ammo, and this let the player choose where to use at best those then. I found the result quite acceptable, but for sure this is improvable. I'm not even sure this is the best route time-wise after all. It's a pity the last huge stock of cells cant be reached earlier on.
