Doom 2 | Poor Man's Industrial Zone [Speedmapping map]
It took me a little over an hour to build it as a whole. Texturing took probably the most out of my time, along with item & monster placement. The layout was done in 10 minutes. Sadly, just as I got some ideas on-the-fly for some accessible buildings, I ran out of time. This explains the empty square block buildings near the starting area. Still, it is a cute little Doom 2 MAP15 ripoff, and it was pretty fun to do as well. I haven't been speedmapping since 2014, so it's been quite a while I've been doing these.
This map was created in 1h and 15 minutes under following rules:
1) The map layout must be established in 10 minutes
2) New sectors can be added once the time limit has expired (like boxes, teleporters, doors, etc), but expanding the level by drawing new rooms and spaces to generate new gameplay is forbidden.
3) Texturing and plotting gameplay took place after the time limit was reached, and this parameter didn't have any time limit.
