*Unofficial World Record*

Text File Description:
"It sensed your presence as you arrived but it doesn't appear to be too concerned. Overconfidence could prove to be it's downfall. If you can get to the inner sanctum you may catch it off guard. Only your fate will decide the outcome now."

I managed to improve the record by 1 minute and 27 seconds. The old record was strangely clumsy and not at all optimized. Even more strange that it was a record set by Looper, who is a legendary speedrunner as far as I'm concerned. Maybe he was just doing quick table filling or something and nobody bothered to do better until now. Idk, but happy to score another record. It is the biggest and most complicated Icon of Sin map I've seen in any wad. I thought it would be a lot harder than it turned out to be. Once the route is down there are really only 2 challenges. The first is coming back through the teleporter when the 4 archviles wake up, since you will absolutely die immediately if you have under like 150 hp. If you can get to the megasphere and the invuln you don't really have to worry about dying anymore, but that brings us to the second challenge. To get to the platform with the Masterminds you have to run across those pillars perfectly, but there's that stupid wall covering half of the area you jump off from on the first one. You get caught on it every time if you aren't like right by the edge. Then as your crossing you could randomly fall down even if you're doing it correctly. Then once you get there, you have to do 2 more long sr40's and hopefully not screw up. All of them feel inconsistent as hell and even though i fell twice when I didn't want to, that is still way better than any of my previous exits so I'll take it. The par time is 5:45 so I suppose I'm the first person to beat that.
This is very creative for an Icon of Sin map. It looks really cool and intimidating, it is sequenced well, gives a bit of a power fantasy at times, and my only real complaint is that the SR40 runs are all pretty lame and annoying. I like the remix of the opening voice. I don't think it is completely necessary but I still think its fun that you have 2 options on how to kill it, either the classic method or the kill switch. I guess its targeting UV Max and UV Speed (though there are no UV Speed demos for it).

Just 2 more maps to go. One will be super quick and easy... the other I am a little worried about.
