"The UAC have succeeded in creating an inter-dimensional hyper-transport. The drawback is the destination appears to be Hell. You must journey through Hell until you can locate the source of the anomaly and close the gateway."
I've never been so thankful to see red brick. I've been dying for a change of scenery this whole time and here it is. Except its not just a change of scenery, this feels like a different wad entirely. The combat is faster, the map is less linear, and there's enough cells to let loose the BFG. This map is confusing as hell to play blind since everything in the main structure looks the same, but it is very fun once you have the run down. I even get to do a rocket jump, I haven't had to do one of those since like Mt. Erebus probably. The area with the rising pathway is one of the most well done of those I've seen. I like that the path isn't just guesswork and you can figure it out pretty fast from the candles on the floor. I would say having 2 invulns is excessive, but after the last 20 levels I am open to a little power fantasy. I don't expect that to last though.. interested to see how much he ramps up the difficulty on the back half of the wad.
