Since I didn't mention it in the video, I also figured I'd give my opinion on the BFG Edition:
I still think it's a great deal of fun, even if the original DOOM 3 is superior in a number of ways (most notably its modability). The shoulder-mounted flashlight is a nice addition for players who like to run-and-gun nonstop, but it also removes much of the tension in darker areas and renders some scenes (like the "lantern escort" shown near the end of the video) moot. My single biggest gripe with the BFG Edition is the inability to skip cutscenes, which is just baffling to me.
My advice: Just grab the original game and, if you wish, some graphics mods. You'll be better off in the long run.
