A second example of a tactical trick that can be useful when facing the final enemy on Doom 64 level 28, The Absolution. This is similar to the first example (at https://youtu.be/fGgG90c4NMU ) but faster, thanks to the use of a twice-upgraded Unmaker weapon and some cell ammo.

As before, this is a 'low monsters' demo, where the only enemies present are ones necessary to trigger events allowing the player to make progress. This was played at skill 4, 'Watch Me Die!'.

On this map there are 3 slab-like objects that can be activated with 3 special artifacts hidden among the secret levels of Doom 64. When any slab is successfully activated it will sink into the ground, and the open end of the nearest structure will be sealed shut.

In this video all 3 slabs are left above ground, and one of them is used to block some of the enemy's projectiles, while the remaining projectiles are blocked by the nearby structure. This technique can work with any slab in combination with its nearest structure; but it may be harder to implement this strategy when using the center-most slab.
