Note that whenever the red key is spawned by the player, it will replace any object occupying that location. At about 2m8s in the video the red key replaces the Soul Sphere, and in the original N64 game this would prevent the player from getting a 100% Items score.

In all versions of the game the Soul Sphere can only spawn after the player picks up the rocket launcher and then crosses the invisible trigger line between the rectangular room and the short passage leading from the yellow-keyed door. If the Soul Sphere never spawns, it won't be counted against the player's Items score.

Notes on the making of this video: Generally speaking this is a 'no monsters'-style demo, made to quickly show the stated objectives without additional minutes of combat. However, specific enemies are present when they are needed to trigger events that allow a player to progress through the level.
