The 3rd demo of the press release beta. This map, Containment Area, was originally intended to be for the then-final episode (Inferno), before being shifted into it's current postion.

I don't explore this map in it's entirety, as it's not particularly different from the final product. There are a few differences, but these are mostly aesthetic (different flats/textures, etc). The original Plasma Rifle is a curious one. The HUD weapon itself appears to be wider, and the projectiles themselves are completely different from the blue stream of death (har har) we're all used to.

Although not featured here, the BFG9000 in this version functions in largely the same way; it merely has a wider spread and fires 40 rounds off faster.
