Want a fast-paced, gore-fest of an FPS where you break various bones and tendons with your bare hands on a regular basis? Then check out this Cheapness affordable gaming review of DOOM [Episode 63]

This entry in the first person shooter franchise was also made by id software and the review shows how:
-The game succeeds visually with high end graphics, ample usage of darkness and brutal glory kill animations that compensate for the Martian power plant setting - one thatotherwise could have been stale
-Transitions into those glory kill animations are seamless (Reminds me of Arkham quality)
-Has metal and electro/base (Kind of) music but succeeds more atmospherically than to amp you up in my opinion (But that's harsh)
-Fast gameplay where you constantly move - it's rather brilliant!
-Glory kills give ammo and health which maybe takes away from gun usage (What!? Ripping an eye out has other benefits too?!) but they are fun to shoot
-A lot of secrets to find and they can earn you experience towards upgrade points, more health, ammo capasity etc. instead of the classic health, armour, ammo or the rare gun (Nice when they have a functional purpose)
-But sometimes the levels don't allow you to back track to find ones you've missed
-Game has a decent content: the campaign, arcade mode and unlockable classic levels (Same environmental textures but with new weapons and enemy models) plus there are various difficulty modes for the campaign and arcade mode at the very least
-The story is pretty much what you'd expect: Things go wrong on a facility in space, the Doom Guy doesn't speak but there is some elevation from his non-verbal anger and Samuel Hayden's Robot-ness (But maybe I'm imagining that)
-Has mild unrefinement
