If you remember earlier I tackled a older version of Jazz Jackrabbit Doom and it's a good mod but then I tackled this new file from August 2020 and...Wow I am truly impressed that the author improved upon it in so many ways that it feels like a actual Jazz Jackrabbit game but in first person.
Released by BassSlapper89, You play as Jazz Jackrabbit who has a detailed player model now, Unlike the previous version, Jazz is out to save his family from Stephan Shell who is a descendent of Devan Shell, What has changed since the last version? Well a lot, This mod plays and feels like a game you'd see on steam, that kind of good quality.
You have a new starting weapon which is based on Jazz's signature weapon from both Jazz Jackrabbit and Jazz Jackrabbit 2 and not a basic laser pistol, You also gain other weapons such as a shotgun, uzi's (which can be dual wielded), Freeze ray and other impressive weapons, You also have some power-ups inspired by those in the JJ games.
Enemies are based on their appearances from the games with some new versions to reference doom monster "archetypes", Also maps in this mod are based on locations in Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and 2 with the colorful and huge size but in 3D, I find this mod to be greatly updated and I believe that it's one of the best modern Doom TC's made so far of the last 10 years.
