Well this file from August 2018 by Skelegant solves that by adding in a new decorate item which are "Demon coins".

You toss these coins at any monster in any of the IWAD's (including Strife and even the Chex Quest Trilogy) and they will attack the nearby enemies, This is perfect fun when you have a megawad or just want to cause chaos as you play the usual IWAD's, You also need these coins to buy health or ammo because these have been removed from the levels with this file being activated, It's a good coffee break mod.
