https://www.moddb.com/mods/doom3d I hear it all the time, that Doom is not 3D, I know that part because it's sort of 2.5D like most of the shooters of the 1990's even though later on Duke 3D and Quake did feel like actual 3D with some engine quirks, This mod was actually released back in September 2020 with the newest version having been released on October 29th 2020, and for all those wondering, This was done in GZDoom as LZDoom doesn't seem to work this mod well.
Released by Alchee06, This mod changes Doom to look and play like it was made in the Quake engine, Also note that this version is outdated which is version 3.0, The weapons and monsters are constructed to look sort of chunky looking but smooth and somewhat better looking then what the demo version had to show for, also there are some gameplay changes.
You can dual wield Pistols from the start, You gain a assault rifle from the former humans and you also have the Quake 2 railgun to gain too, Enemies are more dangerous as here they have new attacks to catch the player off guard similar to how Quake's monsters have more then one attack, Also in Version 4.0 (I'll tackle later) you get more unique gore when you use the rocket launcher or newly added Unmaker, I find this mod to be one the most unique mods of 2020.
