0https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?t=53867 If there's one monster I hate with a passion it's the Baron of Hell which in Brutal Doom rips you open along with fellow marines..But tearing his spine out is so fucking awesome, Rambling aside this monster pisses me off so much even in Vanilla Doom because he's the tankiest monster aside from the bosses of Ultimate Doom and a big annoyance in Doom II, and Final Doom's two wads, But when you play one? you are one bad ass motherfucker.
This mod goes back to 2016 is by Brohnesorge, You play as some kind of "Special" Baron of Hell that is bigger, taller, Can jump higher then the Doom Marine, and has 1000HP, This Baron has turned against Hell after it was wrecked by Doom Marine, Hell shall learn what happens.. When a Baron scorned takes his revenge across any of the Doom IWAD's or Heretic taking on D'Sparil.
Being a Baron of Hell (unlike Doom:Ramage Edition) you are not defenseless in the sense, You've got a powerful slash attack and green plasma fireballs, Alternative attack on "Slot" 2 does a powerful stomp that defeats any nearby enemy up to a Cacodemon, You also can gain use of a Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, Gau-19 Minigun and other weapons, A Spell system like Guncaster is included but it's much too complicated for me to figure out, Power-Ups include a megasphere, Backpack for ammo storage, Runes that change your powers and berserk that amplifies your attack and stomp strength.
This one's great with a additional file named "Brutal Doom Monster Only" as the added gore makes it even more brutal and with some nice metal music from Doom Metal Vol V off of moddb, I'd say this mod should've won a Cacoaward.
