Doom Wads/Mods #37:Dimensions Of Time
Sometimes, I play an wad and can't figure it out even after I read the txt file about it's story or what it's about in game, That doesn't mean its bad or good but the wad is so average that is makes almost no attempts to be something different.
Dimensions Of Time is an 32 level megawad that is supposed to be similar to TNT Evilution (I doubt it), I could not even find any concrete story to D.O.T. and the wad seems so average that it could be TNT Evilution 2 for all I know.
The mapping of D.O.T. is..Not good, The levels have very little attention to detail or giant boxes that are supposed to be buildings, The same textures are also used for the floors and walls so it seems like an box rather than an building, Later levels have stupidly bad attempts at making hills, Machines, or anything else of that nature.
The wad also features an Original OST and music from other games/wad but the original music is really bad, The first level alone has an midi cover of the song Smells Like Teen Spirit but sadly the author really butchered it.
D.O.T. isn't an Diamond by any standards, Nor is it boring and bad like some wads I've gone over like Bloodstain, Its just so average that It might have been made by I.D. Software themselves when they were bored, There may be some fans out there but I didn't find it very fun.
