0Not all maps or wads can be winners, I know that for a fact because I've played Doom for over 20 years now, Some have fallen flat in my eyes, Ones I thought I would like were boring and others that seemed like crap I actually liked, Dr. Sleep made quite a few nice maps but Vesperas feels just as generic as Combine because it's a Nessus clone in every strand of DNA.
Vesperas doesn't really have that much that's bad about it, but the fact it's almost the same as Nessus is puzzling to me, It's much harder though with a massive amount of spawn ambushes I wasn't expecting and the ammo amount makes it hard to complete it, It's a shame because Vesperas if Nessus wasn't here would look just the same.
