Zeus presents Double Dragon II - The Revenge - 128k Disk version (un-emulated) for the Amstrad CPC6128, a true classic from the golden era of Amstrad gaming which should not be forgotten alongside the software house and programmers that were involved in making this game.

Year of release: 1989

Well it has to be said (as like DD1) that the standard Amstrad cassette version of this game was terrible but Aplin grabbed the 6128 machine and re-wrote the code to produce this 128k version and once again is easily the best version out of the 3 main 8-bit machines.
Snazzy music again on the title page and characters that actually resemble very closely to those in the arcade make this far more enjoyable to play than the other crud 8-bit versions.
The only little negativity I have about this version is there is quite a lot of heavy slowdown in places but It's still very impressive, yes the graphics are quite blocky to the point it looks like the ST version blown up from a tiny screen to a big one but It's the best your gonna get when having a choice which version to play out of the 8-bits.
All in all a very nice conversion and a huge improvement over It's awful 64k cassette version.
I also like the fact that Billy and Jimmy get to fight each other at the end just like the prequel, but sadly the ghost fighters at the end have been removed for whatever reason.
I have used the infinite credit trainer so I could upload the entire game for your viewing pleasure.
P.s, sorry about the slight bug issue at the end when Billy and Jimmy are fighting, this may be due to using a cracked copy.
