Dragon Age: Awakening -- Amaranthine
10Once you've started the three main quests in the DLC, you'll have to visit Amaranthine to unlock the locations for completing the quests. There's also quests to do within the city.
WARNING: The quests Law and Order and Smuggler's Run are mutually exclusive, you can't do both. BIGGER WARNING: Do not complete either quest until after you do Sigrun's Companion Quest. Sigrun may be recruited during Last of the Legion.
0:07 -- Discarded Journal
The journal is a companion gift for Velanna. It's immediately to your right when visiting Amaranthine.
1:32 -- Colbert and Micah
These guys will inform you about Knotwood Hills so you can complete Last of the Legion, a main storyline quest.
5:13 -- Delilah -- The Howe Family
Nathaniel's companion quest is started by approaching groundskeeper Samuel with Nathaniel in the party at Vigil's Keep. The quest is complete when you bump into sister at the Amaranthine marker with Nathaniel in the party.
7:22 -- Amaranthine Market
You can buy Pure Iron (for the quest A Master's Work) and a Snowglobe (a gift for Sigrun) from Glassric the Weapon Smith.
You can buy the Golden Vase (a gift for Nathaniel) and Spellfury (a powerful staff) from Octham the Grocer.
8:22 -- Mervis and Merchant's Guild Board
Mervis adds the Wending Wood to your map for the Righteous Path quest. Next to him, the Merchant's Guild Board offers optional fetch quests.
10:28 -- Wool Padding
A chest in the North-West portion of the city contains an item needed for A Master's Work.
10:44 -- Dark Wolf -- Brewing Conspiracy
If you learned about the conspiracy during Oaths of Fealty and asked Varel about the Dark Wolf, you'll be able to find him at the north end of town. A fee of 50 Sovereigns will have him track down the conspirators to a farm, at which you can crush their schemes.
12:28 -- Crown and Lion
At the local bar, you can find Oil (for a Master's Work) and some alcohol (for Oghren) in the kitchen. From the innkeeper, you can get the key to Kristoff's room as part of Shadows of the Blackmarsh. In the room, you'll find a map that will add the Blackmarsh to your World Map. As in the tavern, you can buy the powerful Voice of Velvet dagger from the Bartender, and you can do some fetch quests by interacting with the Blight Orfans Board.
18:38 -- Oghren's Rash
There's a dialogue point for Oghren by the stairs to the Chantry. Since approval points for Oghren are a little hard to come by, be careful what you say.
19:35 -- Nathaniel at Andraste's Statue
20:40 -- Reunion with Wynne
22:50 -- Chanter's Board
24:38 -- Chantry
You can find a Scarf for Anders in the crate by the entrance. You can also find a Blank Journal for Velanna in the back-right room.
