If you managed to get this far, you'll beat Cell. Just make sure Gohan's level is similar to Goku's, or 50 if you've been going for the trophies. It's irrelevant to be honest. In my opinion it's A LOT easier than the fights with Trunks, as you have access to the preferable 'normal' Super Saiyan instead of the slow ascended form. Just remember not to stay central to avoid Kamehameha blasts. Attack his head. Once I got a few hits in he was pretty much gone because he didn't retaliate. After 1/4 health he blows up the ring. He seemed to attack me straight away with a Kamehameha, but he wasn't doing much once I laid into him.
Another 1/4 off and Goku gives up. Leaving Gohan to take over.
Gohan had it even easier for me. The stat difference from being higher levelled + Capsules as well as being easier to use the charge attack with made it too easy. You need to get him down to half health. Heck I wasn't even Super Saiyan, and I'm sure he didn't damage me.

After taking off half his health, 16 stupidly intervenes and Cell spawns in some Cell Juniors. These can be hard if you haven't levelled your other characters much. I know first time through Piccolo was around level 36 as was Trunks so I struggled. But anything over 45 should make this comfortable. The only real annoyance about them is that they're harder to hit than Cell, but they're a lot weaker to compensate. There isn't one for Goku strangely enough. Trunks can always stunlock with his Burning Attack.
After beating the Cell Juniors Cell 'kills' 16 and you turn into a Super Saiyan 2, or Super Saiyan Rage Mode as it's called here.
All of your stats are buffed to 100 and you'll barely take damage from Cell, so if you've made it this far. Good game.
It is POSSIBLE to lose, but it really won't happen unless you try to make it happen. If you run out of energy you won't lose this form, and your health regenerates pretty fast as well. After half taking him out he reverts to his semi perfect form and blows up after Goku uses instant transmission. They missed a trick on not including the music that plays in the anime.

Cell returns, and kills Trunks (again). He is a bit stronger and it is slightly more possible to lose this fight, but still harder to lose than win. Considering at this point in the series Gohan has pretty much one useless arm they probably should've taken away the regenerative abilities or weakened Gohan a bit to show that the fight is more even. You have to do over 3/4 of his health in damage to him, but that really isn't a problem.

Afterwards the game doesn't end but there's only a little bit of story left involving reviving Trunks and all those killed by Trunks, but for the sake of the game, there's still Hercule left.
You should have all 5 trophies now, as you get Goku's after beating Cell. If not go get everyone to level 50 before the game ends.

It's in this part that Hercule is unlocked. He's level 40 and weak as hell. I get the +5 Capsules from Grandpa Gohan's house now too. I chuck all the Capsules I have onto Hercule.
So in the next part we train Hercule.
It's slow but easy.
Watch some to get the basic idea if you want.
