This is board game Pokemon! Like actually, you tame creatures and use them in combat! In Dragon Eclipse, you explore the world, then fight in fantasy hex-based combat, managing elemental markers, and dropping HP low enough until you can tame or defeat them. With Tainted Grail (including kings of ruin) like secrets, this game isn’t as complex as popular campaign games like Frosthaven, rather it’s a really quick experience to start. There’s even boosters, as this game is a “Collectible Adventure Game”, where Awaken Realms claims there’s zero product randomness, with foils in boosters! But is the balance really there with the foil integration and creature matchup?
