Dragon Quest 2 Finale and Ending Variants (Switch Version)
61The final boss of the Switch remake of Dragon Quest 2 and some minor ending variants (time stamps below) that can play out from defeating Hargon and Malroth without the Prince of Cannock. As a side note there's no extra dialogue if the Prince of Cannock is in the party (and the fight is only slightly easier).
When you sleep at the inn in Beran the Prince of Cannock will fall ill because of a curse from Hargon (but this only occurs when you sleep in this inn so it's probably just an inn with a lot of health code violations). Normally you'd use an Yggdrasil Leaf on the prince and get him back in the party, but it is possible to continue on without him and complete the game.
