Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation
Playthrough | Part 10: Awaken the Legendary Everbird Ramia
We're near the end of this long trek. Time to seek out the last two orbs.
First things first, we set sail. But the way was blocked due to a disgruntled spirit who can't pass on. Thankfully for us, we have the Locket that can help them find peace. Arriving at the Shrine of Shackles, we find the Mountaincleaver. We arrive at a mysterious island and get some info regarding the use of the Mountaincleaver. It'll be helpful when we reach Baramos.
We return to Terrytown only to find that things have gotten worse. The fellow has become a ruthless tyrant. Not helped by the fact that an uprising happened and he gets thrown in jail. He uses this time to reflect and repent on his actions. Thankfully he leaves us behind the Yellow Orb. We then press on and with Mountaincleaver in hand, we open the way forward into the Cave of the Necrogond. It's also here we get on our hands on the final orb, the Silver Orb.
Baramos' keep is there but sadly we can't reach it. This is where we travel to the South Pole. We find a temple there and with the six orbs, we're able to awaken the legendary bird, the Everbird Ramia. Ramia is needed to reach Baramos' keep and we'll be taking care of it in the next part.
We also take care of two loose ends. First we check up on Teddyburg. Turns out the town is doing much better and as for Teddy, he's entrusting the town to his successor. Hence why the jail is no longer there. Since this is the remake, Teddy is welcomed back into our group and he can return to Patty's Party Planning Place. He has also learned his lesson too. In the original DQ3, the Merchant rots away in jail and we never hear from his again. Shame. As for the other loose end, we return back to the pyramid and get those gauntlets. This time, we're more than ready.
Part 11 is where we face Baramos. Is it the end of the journey? Not even close.
