Previously, the party visited Kalderasha in Farebury and saw the tragic tale of Rylus and Dhoulmagus. Now, they will get started on the Monster Arena quest line. The first step is to defeat the three monsters listed on the three Morrie's Memos and send them to Morrie's Place.

After resuming, the party Zooms to Castle Trodain (time 2:08).

Outside the castle gates, they fight Slimy Smiley, the notorious monster listed in Morrie's Memo #1 (time 2:27). Slimy Smiley is nothing to fear at my party's current levels.

They soon defeat Slimy Smiley (time 2:54). It drops a Copper Monster Coin. The party sends Slimy Smiley, a.k.a. Smiles, to Morrie's Place.

Then, the party Zooms to Maella Abbey (time 3:48). They exit south from the abbey (time 4:12).

Along the river bank leading to the Ruined Abbey, they encounter the Hollow Knight, the notorious monster listed in Morrie's Memo #2 (time 4:37). Again, the Hollow Knight is no challenge to my party.

The party defeats the Hollow Knight (time 5:04). It drops a Copper Monster Coin. The party sends the Hollow Knight, a.k.a. Lonely Joe, to Morrie's Place.

The party Zooms to Seaview Church (time 5:56). There, they rest until morning for the perfect price of nothing.

Then, they Zoom to Morrie's Place (time 6:50).

They chat with Morrie (time 7:18). He thanks them and takes Morrie's Memo #1 and Morrie's Memo #2 off their hands.

Southwest of Morrie's Place and southeast of Red's Den, there are a couple of beaches. On the beach closer to Red's Den, the party encounters Squiggly Squiggler, the notorious monster listed in Morrie's Memo #3 (time 11:52). Too easy.

The party quickly takes out the Squiggly Squiggler (time 12:15). It drops a Copper Monster Coin. The party sends the Squiggly Squiggler, a.k.a. Squiggles, to Morrie's Place.

After the battle, the party Zooms back to Morrie's Place (time 12:45).

They report to Morrie above the entrance (time 13:12). He takes Morrie's Memo #3 off their hands and invites them into the building. He's certainly not lacking for gusto, is he?

The party speaks with Morrie again at the entrance (time 15:09). In a cutscene, he guides them into the building. After some dialogue with Mirrie, one of his friends, he tells them to follow him downstairs.

We gain control of the party on the ground floor of Morrie's Place (time 16:51). There are a few folks to chat with here. There are also a few Cameron's Codex Challenges.

There is a Golden Slime behind the bar near the entrance (time 19:07). Photographing the Golden Slime satisfies Challenge 099: "Monster Arena Golden Slime". Challenge 099 is worth 2 stamps.

The party goes downstairs to the basement (time 20:46). They find the underground colosseum.

The party photographs the arena (time 21:13). This satisfies Challenge 041: "Theatre in the Round". Challenge 041 is worth 2 stamps.

The party also photographs Morrie himself (time 25:01). This satisfies Challenge 126: "Maestro of the Monster Arena". Challenge 126 is worth 3 stamps.

A cutscene takes place when the party talks to Morrie (time 25:35). He introduces them to Morrie's Monstrous Pit, er, the Monster Arena. He offers to let the party have their own monster team. Fortunately, he also sponsors them by footing the steep bill of 200 grand. The only condition is that they conquer his Monstrous Pit. Davilas names his monster team Hargon's Heroes, directly inspired by Dragon Quest Builders 2. The only bonus to having Morrie name the team is that the name will be spoken by the voice actors. Morrie also encourages the party to go around the world and recruit stronger monsters, which is essential to succeed in the Monster Arena. Lonely Joe, Squiggles, and Smiles are terribly weak. The Monster Arena has several ranks, initially ranging from Rank G to Rank A. As the party progresses through the ranks, new notorious monsters will appear out in the world. Morrie gives the party the Monster Arena Key so they can enter the arena at will.

After the scene, we regain control of the party in the Monster Arena (time 34:01). Morrie's Place is now listed as the Monster Arena in the Zoom list.

The party goes upstairs to save. Next time, they will hunt down some stronger new monster for the initial ranks of the Monster Arena championship.
