We are currently in the postgame. Previously, the party saved Michelle and Kai from the Vicious Merking and his retinue. Now, they have prepared to help a tortured soul in the ruins of Dundrasil.
After resuming at the Dundrasil Region Campsite, they head south to the Dundrasil City Ruins. They head through the well to the Ruins of Dundrasil. Then, they infiltrate the Dundrasil Castle Dungeons, thanks to an industrious thief ... er, treasure hunter.
In the south of the dungeons, a scene occurs. They find the spirit of Irwin and his malicious tormentor.
After the scene, it is time to induce despair in the Malicious Gloomnivore. His nightmarish sigh can lower magical mending and magical might, but this does not impair Omniheal. This boss underwhelms me a bit.
At Level 67, Rab picks up the Claws ability Air Raiser.
After the battle, the touching scene with Irwin and the ghost of Eleanor takes place again. Good stuff.
Once it is over, the party can raid the two chests for Irwin's Helm and Irwin's Armour. These are essentially upgrades to the Drasilian Helm and Drasilian Armour. However, they are not better than Erdwin's gear. Also, there is a yellow sparkly spot that yields the Princess's Pledge. I definitely do not remember this from the Japanese release.
Then, the party Zooms to Nautica. In the palace, they talk with Queen Marina, who has a plight. She wants them to take out Bathysfear, a sea monster at an island north of the Insula Orientalis.
After implicitly acquiescing to this quest, the party gets pepped up in the Heliodor Region. Then, they Zoom to the Lonalulu Sea location. Davilas munches some Seeds of Skill so that he can pick up the Luminary spell Holy Protection. Under Holy Protection, the party sails north to the northeastern islands.
An event happens as they approach the small uncharted island north of the Insula Orientalis. After the scene, it is boss time against Bathysfear. He is truly fearsome with very high attack power. It may help to cast Blunt on him. Then, finish him off ASAP.
At Level 68, Sylvando picks up the Chivalry ability Whipping Boy.
After Bathysfear, the party must report in to the queen of Nautica.
The party Zooms back to Nautica. In the palace, they report to Queen Marina. She rewards them with the Sea Queen's Conch. They can use it to get advice about what still needs to be done. They can also now talk to Queen Marina to be transformed into fish so they can get around Nautica more easily.
The party heads to camp to rest and save. Next time, they will check on things in Phnom Nonh.
Thanks for watching!
