The final form of this boss gave me alot of trouble. I went back and upgraded some gear but it didnt really help. I had to position my ship real close to the tentacles to destroy them temporarily, allowing me to absorb thier power and hit the boss core in the final form. It was tedious and dangerous. I still dont know how to use the pods properly or get them to appear , which is what I saw someone else use in a video. That seems to make it MUCH easier, but I just grinded it out this way.
I had a no death run on the final boss of the first loop with weaker weapons, but that footage glitched out. Maybe I can pull it off again in this harder second loop.
