(Skip to 1:25 if you want get past all the ambient intro stuff.)

After a longer-than-anticipated delay from moving into my new place (and let's be real, a touch of laziness as well), I've got my first new video up finally. I've been experimenting a bit with adding an automated switch in Reaper to different tones during recording, such as the short bit with a clean tone in the first few minutes of this track. I'm still trying to get it a bit more seamless, but I'm mostly satisfied with it as presented here.

There are a few very slight modifications I'm playing in this arrangement, most obviously being the use of the low B string in the rhythm section later in the song (under all the leads going on), but otherwise I think this is about as close as I can figure out. The crazy run up the neck right before the ending "epic" is definitely not right, but whatevs; my ear isn't quite good enough yet to figure that out note-for-note, lol.

I personally think this is one of the better rhythm tones I've been able to muster lately, but let me know what you think!
