Mortal Kombat 1 - FRIDAY NIGHT LAUNDRY, EP. 1
I'm starting a new series that I'm (hopefully) planning to be consistent with releasing content for now that MK1 is finally available. I'm calling it "Friday Night Laundry" 'cause I'ma try to be foldin' every opponent I come up against!
(Yeah yeah, I know this first episode is uploading on a Saturday; it was recorded Friday night, so deal with it.)
I knew from the moment that Reptile was confirmed that he was going to be the first character I went into the lab with. Now, I've been playing Mortal Kombat ever since the original days back in the arcade with MK and MK2, but I am by no means a good fighting game player; I think you'll figure that out pretty quickly in this video. I have a lot of bad habits that I need to break (jumping way too much, for example), but this game also has a lot going on between trying to manage your character, your meter usage, and now Kameo characters. Still, these are my literal first few matches online after really only completing the story and spending some time in Invasion mode and practice, so all things considered I'm not upset with my performance.
The typically accepted format for playing online is to do a best of three or five and while there aren't "rules" about not doing fatalities every round, it's generally a common courtesy to only do it in the final round if you do one at all. I'm guessing that's mostly in consideration of time; people want to play more than they want to watch the same fatalities over and over again. With that in mind, fatality usage in these FNL vids will not be overly prevalent.
This video contains a couple individual matches and then a best of five with a Smoke opponent of roughly equivalent skill (although I think he definitely played better here for the most part).
Anyway, that's enough rambling from me. Hope you enjoy!
