5Well, it only took me SEVERAL YEARS to do it, but I FINALLY figured out how to record some relatively decent audio through Reaper. My previous experiments had yielded all kinds of dilemmas that I just got burned out in trying to work through them all. At any rate, I decided to sack up and give it another shot and we've finally had some success! I'm approaching my 20th year playing guitar, so I'm going to consider this a light "celebration" of that fact, lol.
Song audio has been lowered about 10% and my track was raised another 5-10%, so hopefully that should make my playing more front and center without losing the "punch" of the music. I used the "The Alien" setting on the amp sim and aside for some tweaks on the individual EQ, transposing down to the appropriate tuning, and a couple other small things, everything is pretty much stock including all the effects. I've included a screen capture of said settings at the end of this video for reference, if you're curious.
No mixing or mastering of any kind on my track, so I suppose there's room for improvement here. Hopefully you enjoy and please let me know what you think!
