Dreamfall [RE-RECORDED]: Chapter 2 - When Your Ex Needs A Favor, Look Out For Trouble
2In this chapter, Zoë gets into her first serious bit of trouble in Casablanca after she agrees to do a small favor for her ex-boyfriend, Reza Temiz, and retrieve an information datacube for him from the Jiva Corporation, where she catches two mysterious malfeasants in the process of making an attempt on the life of Reza's contact, Helena Chang. With the package in her hands, Zoë attempts to deliver it to Reza's apartment, which sets off a whole chain of events in which she gets brutally detained by EYE operatives, nearly fried alive by a robotic spider guardian, and almost choked to death by a couple of badass Asian twin sisters, all the while trying to figure out, with the cybernetic assistance of her good friend Olivia, Reza's current location and the clues he left behind in Casablanca.
[This is a brand new re-recording of one of the earliest playthroughs I made way back when, and "Dreamfall" has been long overdue for a facelift. The new playthrough is enhanced with (unofficial) HD texture mods for both the gameplay and the cutscene videos; features higher resolution and superior encoding; is enhanced with Reshade/SweetFX lighting effects; and features many minor bits of dialog and exposition that have been missed in my previous playthrough.
NOTE: In this and subsequent episodes, the playthrough misses all of the "hacking" mini-games (instead, Zoë just automatically unlocks everything with her phone). This is because the installed HD texture mod, apparently, is incompatible with the mini-games, and in choosing what to preserve for the video playthrough I reasonably went along with the HD textures. If you do really want to see the "hacking" games (which, in general, are more annoying than anything), they are still present in my original, poorer quality playthrough.]

08:45 - Zoë overcomes the "receptionist" at Jiva (twice, through cunning and brute force).
16:00 - Zoë saves Helena Chang from a painful death and receives her package.
22:05 - Zoë delivers the package to Reza's apartment... and gets arrested.
27:00 - Zoë is interrogated by the Syndicate agents, but ultimately released.
31:10 - "Lost": Zoë receives a message from Reza through Wonkers.
36:40 - Zoë visits Olivia and receives hacking software from her.
42:50 - Zoë gets back to Reza's apartment, but is hampered by a spider droid.
46:45 - Zoë receives spider-hacking software from Olivia.
49:15 - Zoë defeats the spider (with the hack, or by luring it into the shower).
54:05 - Zoë collects new parts for Reza's Watilla from Olivia and Wonkers.
59:55 - Zoë repairs Lucia, gets Reza's notebook, and has a confrontation with "The Twins".
