A classical fisherman horror story. Was decent.

Upgrades were a little lackluster. A lot of grinding for miniscule improvements. The hidden challenges didn't seem worth it either. Those black tablets with specific fish requirements, that tablet finding, heck even most side quests. If gave, better then upgrade, trinkets, then it would've given more motivation to seek them out. Seeing as there is no way to combat those big creatures, being stronger or having smaller better lures, wouldn't have been detrimental to the overall story. As you still have to work with the sea, instead of against it. More haste or don't break the ship when exceeding haste limit, smaller nets, anything. Instead we upgrade till max and never use anything but the 2 biggest items, because at least then you don't have to calculate, which lures you need to equip.

What was up with the black rocks where touching didn't do anything? Was there a hidden trigger or was it a sequence thing or what? Also those moving ships, was that just a red herring or was there something to it? All that lore, explaining the symbols on the campsite or the statues. Was this all just fluff or were those hints to some secrets? Will never know. Legit thought that the tablet light was some hidden ending or something, with strong light you can scare the beast away or something, but didn't seem like it, just better visibility but shorter range. Then again I think I did activate one or two of those black stones, maybe it's a sanity thing? I think it was dark when it happened. A bunch of nonsense anyway, so not really interesting enough to seek them out.
