Goodbye hussies, goodbye grinding, goodbye ending A. We're done with that busywork, time to get ending B.

Finally grinded a weapon to max. Not sure if it was worth all of that. In fact it definitely wasn't worth it. All that RNG to get items in specific locations. Really tiresome. Pointlessly difficult. Like that RNG bosses in the south and even worse the north one. Why didn't they 100% show up , Why was it necessary to waste 20 tries to get them to show up. Also that south one was equally confusing, because the dialogue was said the moment those big club ones showed up, so I though I was done after slugging one of them, but no. Just got to go back and forth a hundred times before he shows up.

The whole questing and NPC interaction is quite buggy. Can't have 2 quests deliver to the same NPC, you've got to go and reset the area for him to react to the second quest. And sometimes there's that "can't yet do it, NPC needs time to do whatevs". Also weird that the same puzzle location was used 2 times identically. Could've at least changed something in it. Also why can't I skip some cutscenes, it's always the ones with the least amount of stuff going on, like the text only lamentation that our protag has, after yelling at the twins.

Didn't enjoy those book story segments.
1. They weren't really necessary. All the relevant info was already given. For example we knew Emil's and his sister's story, how he was the one that petrified her and why. Didn't also need Kaine's one, cuz we had a cutscene where Kaine told the same thing to Emil in like 30 seconds, instead of 10 minutes of text.
2. It could've been just optional entries in the menu. Would've been faster to read and wouldn't force you to go through all that slog. It really isn't that interesting.

So the story. Shades are twisted human souls? Gestalts or whatever. Weird. Am I supposed to feel sorry for them? I don't think so. As I'm forced to fight them and they are violent, often mindless, creatures. Even Kaine's is a total psycho, in fact most of the possessive ones seem to be crazy. So what's the point? I guess they're as bad as the replicants, the fake humans? That anyone can kill, don't need to be crazy, just have a reason or something? That both sides are wrong and nothing matters and in the end violence will always exist? Just some tragedy I suppose. Does match with a lot of those death ending quests. I get that protag is relentlessly violent in his vengeance, but that doesn't really justify the other side or anything really. Just violent creatures being violent. Tragic.

Fukken Beepy mate, doing us dirty like that. Also Kaine seems to be dying a lot or being incapacitated.

Next time ending B.
