DRL Simulator Free Beta with Xbox Controller [Gates of Hell 1:04:54 +Replay]
For a twin stick controller, the 360 controller is surprisingly bad for drone flying. Did some podracing-type evasive flying through the warehouse pillars at least.
Learned that this free drone simulator was available from catching a promo for it when ESPN2 was on downstairs, so thought I'd give it a try despite not having and radio remote controllers. This is the best of the attempts I recorded a few weeks back. I'm not sure if adjusting the sensitivities or trying a PS3 controller would've helped, but the default controls are awful. Everything is both too twitchy and too slow because the sticks have too much resistance and lack the precision for very slight steady inputs. The way the drones themselves fly is pretty intuitive to me however. It's not quite a helicopter since it doesn't have a tail rotor, but there's enough similar that you can pick it up quickly if you've played any helicopter sims.
PC specs are a GTX 1060 and i7 4790K with 16 gigs of RAM. Edited and produced using DaVinci Resolve, Avidemux and FL Studio.
