Dude plays MS-DOS Doom E1M6: Central Processing(100%)!
Well, hey there folks and fellow Youtubers and welcome to part 7 of my walkthrough for the MS-DOS version of the very original Doom played through Steam on the "Hurt Me Plenty" difficulty setting as we blast our way through Episode 1, Mission 6: Central Processing. Obviously not to really be confused with the Doom 3 level of the same name as this is a level from the very original Doom game no doubt.
So anyhow, what we need to do in this map is get one of the keys at least from rather dangerous areas in the map as the extraction of one of the said keys will activate traps filled not with some but a lot of enemies and of course those will be tougher areas to survive in if you are playing on an even harder difficulty no doubt and this will be the first key which is the red key that will activate a trap, in-fact not one not two but three traps filled with enemies altogether and I like to use a rocket launcher to eliminate at least a large majority of the enemies but then finish off the stragglers with a shotgun and wallah there all a thing of the past after that.
So getting the second key the blue key won't be as dangerous of the task as there will be a trap but it won't necessarily open upon your grabbing it just approach it and that trap will open revealing two demons: one an imp, the other a pinky demon and so I usually like to take out the imp first and then the pinky demon as I find it easier to do it that so that way I can exclusively focus on the pinky demon as he can't throw fireballs at you the way the imps can. Another thing that makes grabbing the blue key a dangerous job is it's sitting right atop the edge overlooking a pool of nuclear waste and that is again another added danger that makes it in some ways more difficult to grab the blue key and alas unfortunately we will have to go across said pool of nukage in order to get to the first two secret areas of the level, luckily though there is a radiation-suit you can quickly grab while doing but unfortunately it is in the nukage so grab it quickly so you at least don't take too much damage from stepping in it.
Now grabbing the third and last yellow color-coded key will also activate a trap but it won't be as deadly as the other two traps mentioned above just now you just have two exterminate two specters or so plus a few demonically-possessed zombie-men and an imp and that will be the end of that after you grab the yellow key. Now, grabbing all the health and armor bonuses in this level can be a bit of a challenge as this is a pretty large level itself, as such missing an armor bonus or two causes you to fall short of the 100% items threshold and we don't want that of course, that is at least if we are going to do a 100% walkthrough like we are doing with our game Doom here itself. But that was admittedly why I did not enjoy doing this map as much as I did the other ones before it especially the nuclear plant and the Phobos Lab right before this level and that could both be the fact that I was feeling a little tired at the time of recording this gaming video as well as again how easy it is to miss a few of the otherwise 100% armor and health bonuses in this level.
Now with the exception, of having to go through the nuclear waste pits getting all four of the secret areas on this map is pretty easy, to be honest, that is if you get to know the lay of the land with episode 1, mission 6 Central Processing itself that is, which brings me to this last thing I want to mention about this video you will notice how I called both the first two secret areas and the last two secret areas the first and second secret areas of the map as again I was feeling a little bit tired and lethargic when I was recording this video so I apologize wholeheartedly for that but hey the important thing is, of course, is that instructs you guys on how to find all the secret areas in this somewhat large and confusing level. Alrighty there folks and fellow Youtubers I shall go ahead and let the rest of the video do the talking and remember if you like this video please take a pinky demon chomp out of that like button below and if you want to see more of my videos (including these ones) please fire an imp's fireball at that subscribes button below and I shall see you all in the next video folks. Until then though my name is Nuclear-Skull87. Goodbye for now and you all have an excellent rest of your day. Amen!
