Dude plays MS-DOS Doom E1M7: Computer Station (100%)!
5Well hey there folks and welcome to the second to last video of my walkthrough for the first episode of the MS-DOS version of the original Doom played through Steam on "The Hurt Me Plenty" Difficulty setting and the name of the level we will be demon-blasting our way through today is the Computer-Station a quite a bit larger map than even the previous one E1M6: Central Processing and as such harder to find 100 % of the items which is all the health and armor bonuses in this map as well as even enemies as such but luckily I did get all the one hundred percent of all the enemies, secrets and items and I will show you guys how we do that in this map.
First, we will start with the keys in this map as we will first discuss how we will grab the yellow key which is we grab it in an area that is placed very closely and conveniently to one of the yellow-key doors as there is not one but two if not several perhaps altogether and to make things even easier for us the room with the yellow-key is placed rather close to where we begin the game actually it's hard to explain but you will see how I do it in the video itself though and now the area in which we get the red-key will be fairly dangerous as I like to snipe out enemies before I go to grab as there will be imps, zombie-men as well as shotgun guys defending it which is why again I clear out the room of enemies before I go and grab it of course and now getting the blue-key can also be dangerous but you can snipe out a mob of three imps though through a window showing the location of the blue-key so that way you won't have to deal with them once you go to pick it up and there also will be health bonuses in that same area as well.
Now, considering how rather large this map is finding the secret areas can be a trifle difficult that is of course until you get to know the level itself like the palm of your hand then it's pretty much a piece of cake to do them but there are four secret areas in this map altogether and one of them is only accessible via enemy-filled traps that open up once you grab the red key.
Now getting all of the health and armor bonuses can be tough as this is again a pretty big level where it can be anyway rather easy to miss all the health and armor bonuses on the map itself which is why before exiting the level I decided to check through some of the level itself just to make sure I did not miss any health or armor bonuses and much to my surprises I missed not only a few items but a few enemies left alive in the level as well but that is when I went ahead and shotgunned those other zombie soldiers and grabbed all the other health and armor bonus items present in this level as I did get 100% kills, items and secrets in the end. The video will explain the rest of how this transpired.
