The series will cover each day's Duelyst Daily Challenge (a daily quest where you are asked to defeat the opponent in one turn using a pre-set board), and also include Duelyst ranked ladder matches as well as Duelyst gauntlet games (where you build a random deck).
The Duelyst daily challenge is a duelyst daily quest that gives you a little gold for solving it. I’ve been a part of the Duelyst community for a while (though, after signing up during the beta and playing for a month I disappeared completely for upwards of a year). The game is super fun, very addictive, and requires a greater range of strategic thinking than any other CCG because you must consider board position in addition to deck composition. It is also less random, for the most part. Beside, the idea of controlling my minions directly always appealed to me, and now that I have time to play while my videos process, I look forward to more Duelyst gameplay and learning more about the game and its strategies.
If you’re curious to try the game, it’s available on steam and from Duelyst’s official website (https://www.duelyst.com/). If you do sign up, use the code “friendlyinsomniac” to start with an extra 100 gold (i.e., enough to cover an extra pack of cards).

Brief Duelyst Introduction:
Like other CCGs, Duelyst lets you play a number of different factions: Lyonar, Songhai, Vetruvian, Abyssian, Magmar, and Vanar. Each faction has two generals and a number of faction-specific minions/spells/artifacts. There are also a number of neutral cards that can affiliate with any faction. Players take turns to summon minions, cast spells, or bestow artifacts on their generals. Each turn allows players to spend more resources on minions/spells/artifacts, ensuring that there is a progression curve to each match.

Interestingly, Duelyst has lore to the game in the form of lengthy (and interesting) audio logs--we may listen to some, we may not. We'll see how things go! There are some interesting tidbits of information (like why the factions look the way they do and their relationships). Note, though, that you don’t need to know lore to play Duelyst—the Duelyst gameplay does not depend on any knowledge other than knowledge of the cards and mechanics.
Afterwork Gaming ("Tonight, we game!") was created so that I can share interesting games with you all via playthroughs, walkthroughs, and guides. The Turing Test is just the kind of game that I really want to Let's Play blind so that everyone can enjoy the full playthrough.
