I didn't want to do a commentary here because I caught cold a week ago, so it will take some time to recover from that, but I'll do user map commentaries too eventually when I feel better.

This is a user map titled Red 3, by Merlijn Van Oostrum, quite possibly the greatest Duke3d mapper of all time (if you ask from me).

Red 3 is a scary map, where you'll be taunted with scary sounds, weird scenery and very disturbing atmosphere. I'm not sure, but I believe Red 3 is one of the first levels to take the scary / horror theme this far, and build it so well.

Here we encounter translucent enemies that are partially invisible, and difficult to see (much like Spectres in Doom), as we make our way through the creepy desert in an attempt to catch a boat which is about to enter the docks.
