Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara - Shadow Over Mystara - Master Playthrough
Definitely the better of the two games right off the bat, a larger character roster greets you straight away.
I pick the Thief, the character with the highest offense, but weakest defense. The sling she has is pretty cool too.
The combat flows a bit better in this game as well, and the fact you can upgrade equipment (as well as spells like in the previous game) gives it more of an RPG feel. There's also a couple of class specific levels to play through as well, and more branching paths.
I do go for the Sword of Legend, to obtain it you need to chase the Sorceress rather than help the Gnome. When you hit level 9 fall to the left by B30 and pick up the Cursed Sword 1, you need to repeatedly swing it until it becomes the Sword of Legend.
This is the most powerful Sword in the game.
The only situationally better Sword is one you can obtain from the Red Dragon's Horn in this stage. The only situation it's better in though, is against other Dragons.
And guess what. The final boss is another Dragon. So three Dragons fought in similar fashions as tough bosses is kind of a disappointment.
It's definitely a better overall game than its predecessor, just a shame it feels too samey. I played this before Tower Of Doom, and didn't really feel like I needed to play Tower Of Doom.
