Dying Light - Part 1 - Heading To Harran
0Hey everyone and welcome to a new series of Dying Light.
We start with our main character Crane being dropped into a sensitive area named Harran. Harran is filled with infection. Crane has a objective to find a stolen file for the GRE and return it to them. After landing in the city Crane sees straight away the dangers that are in the city. Not only are the infected a problem there are also people willing to hurt us. When trying to defend himself, Crane is bitten by an infected before being saved by a small group of people.
These people get Crane to safety and allow him time to recover. We wake up in a strange building and have a look around. We find some people around who tell us about what happened and were we are. We head upstairs to speak with the person in charge, we are introduced to Jade, Rahim & Brecken. We are told that after being bitten we now need Antizin injections that will stop us from turning. It seems everyone around here needs the Antizin injections and they are a valuable item.
To show that we are willing to help out around here and to say thank you we take a task on the 13th floor. Whilst on this floor we are alone and are able to contact the GRE to keep them updated. However whilst talking we hear someone calling for help. We kill the infected to save the person on this floor. After making our first gauze to stop the bleeding they send the doctor down to help. We head back upstairs to try and get everyone to trust us.
Once we arrive back at the room we see Jade telling Rahim off as she is his older sister. Jade is the one who saved in the first place, we really owe her one. Before we are able to speak to Brecken we first need to follow Rahim. Rahim takes us to the roof of the building and teaches us a little parkour, this is a skill we will need around the city to avoid the infected. Rahim also teaches us about the crash mats they have set up around the city that we can jump into without getting hurt. Rahim seems to have taken a liking to Crane and wants to make sure he survives. After completing Rahim challenges we head back to speak with him, but whilst walking back we have our first episode and begin to freak out. This is down to the injection now making its way through our body.
We have to speak with the Quartermaster who gives us some gear to help us survive in the open world. We also speak with the doctor and tell her about our seizure, to get to the doctor we need to head outside. Rahim gives us directions and we are now able to some face to face with the infected.
We get to the first safe zone. These are places that we are able to sleep in and skip the night. Zombies are not able to get inside. We speak to Dr Zere who gives us a shot of Antizin. Dr Zere also tells us that this is only a temporary fix, but he would really like to work on a cure for the infection. Rahim then tells us to meet with Spike who tells us about supply drops that enter the city. Spike also tells us about Rais and his men who have been taking all of the drops for themselves. This has been a massive problem for the Tower as there are so many people who need the supplies.
Spike asks us to head out and arm some traps to make the next supply drop go as smooth as possible. Check back next time as we head deeper into Harran and discover more about Harran.
