Note: This playthrough uses a relatively recently discovered patch, which disables the auto lock-on system that normally locks the player onto the first enemy they hit with a normal attack, making it impossible to turn afterwards. (see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHUzuyzu1k4)

Since I'm playing on an emulator, I put the game to double speed whenever there's a section without enemies to speed things up. There's a Fast Forward logo in the upper right corner whenever this happens.

The reason for using the Chinese version is simply to show off the dub since I haven't seen much footage of it around. For that reason I play with event cutscenes on and don't skip them.
For weapon stats, the main ones that actually matter if I get them are Musou Charge 無雙增加量
and Attack Power 攻擊力

Zhenji (or Zhen Mi, as she's called in the Chinese version of DW3) has quite narrow range on her attacks, and her fourth/fifth normal attacks put her in the air, which isn't too good, especially since C6 is her best charge attack with a 360-degree coverage. Her attack speed is quite fast on the other hand, and with being able to actually aim your attacks, the narrow range isn't as much of a pain to deal with. The attacking speed is also good for juggling combos to get the doubled attack/defense drops from enemies.
Her Musou attack consists of the same 360-degree shockwaves, making it good at damaging everything around.
There is a trick with C6 which can extend the length of the musou attack: do C6 in a crowd, and just as the first shockwave appears, use Musou.
What happens is that activating Musou drains the gauge a bit, but that C6 Shockwave still replenishes Musou as it normally, so in essence it negates the cost of activating musou this way.

The first three stages have been done before, and there isn't really much to say about them.

Wei's He Fei, just like Wu's is full of archers, and in the center there's a sizable amount of officers as well. Despite being a 90-minute big stage, it's extremely unlikely you'll ever go over 20-25 minutes, as Gan Ning spawns at latest after 15 minutes, which prompts Sun Quan to charge your camp, and if he gets close to Cao Cao, you instantly lose.
Once Zhang Liao defeats Taishi Ci, you can go near him to trigger the event where he goes to set up the ambush on Sun Quan, but this actually makes the stage much harder as it forces Gan Ning's spawn and the charge much faster.
Defeating Gan Ning who has hyper mode here gets a rare item.

At the end of He Fei, I got a weapon with Musou Charge +20, which is easily the best thing possible for Zhenji, as it let me rely on her Musou attack through the rest of the run.

Wei's Shi Ting is a stage we only get to see twice total. It is one of the best stages to farm weapons as it's late game, short, and there's a total of six weapon drops available - three from officers, and three from boxes.
Zhou Fang is a bit of a weird case, as he has two different drops programmed. If you stand next to him as he defects (so he'll have blue soldiers) and defeat him, he drops an Item. If you aren't there when he defects and reach him later (so he has red soldiers), he drops a Weapon Box.

If you want to prevent the enemy plan from working, you pretty much have to babysit one of the sides. Once you defeat one of the Qiaos, the general in charge of defending that fortress advances all the way into Sun Quan's camp, and promptly gets themselves killed, and that does count as the fortress being taken over.

He Fei Castle has a bunch of safety interim saves, as I think I didn't pickup enough Attack drops in the earlier stages, so my attacks weren't dealing much damage. So it's pretty much musou spam through the entire stage, with lots of getting screwed over by the camera turning during True Musou, because in DW3 you can't hit what's not on screen.

This completes the Musou Mode, but there's still the Unique Weapon, which for some reason is in Jie Ting, a stage which isn't in Zhenji's stage list for Musou Mode, so after the ending, I go to Free Mode to get the weapon. The requirement is just to defeat Jiang Wei, who starts right by your position and the weapon spawns in the enemy camp.
