Dyson Sphere Program - Zen 047, Annihilation Constraint Spheres
No voice.
A little view of our Dyson Sphere's progress to date - the colored petal-border at the bottom of the sphere has a few more panels in. It's a long, slow process of letting the game run while doing not-very-much.
While doing idling, I had spent some time setting up a metabuild for Particle Containers. I didn't think of recording that, it's kind of simple stuff - after all, when we have unlimited power, setting up that kind of metabuild is just useful to do in the downtime before more interesting stuff.
Then I realized: we haven't done a large build for Annihilation Constraint Spheres. Here it is. The build-time is so long that the entire output of 80x Mk III Assemblers goes down a single central return-belt. All 6 per second of them.
Ouch.
So, stamp down 4 of those builds to get a grand total of 24 a second, with particle containers left over. Not certain what to *do* with the things, since we don't generally use the artificial stars for anything except kickstarting a new Dyson Sphere.
Perhaps, once the FPS gets really bad, it will make sense to use those instead of more spheres. (Though where's the fun in that - break everything!) Alternatively, once the Dark Fog update comes out they might be more useful. (Not sure if we'll switch to that, it might be that we're so powerful already that we can annihilate everything we run across.)
Thinking about it, while this uploads I will set those 4 builds to use Mk III Proliferator. The base parts are really expensive and the process is so slow that getting another 25% totally makes sense: 7.5/sec per build or 30/sec total is good.
I wonder if the developers will build stacking into the game? Yes, there is a mod for that - I prefer to remain as close to the vanilla game as possible. I'm hoping after seeing the Dark Fog showcase, it would be nice to be able to build up somewhat like they do.
As a minimum I'd like to see: Quantum Oil Refinery and Quantum Particle Collider. Both of those are getting to the point of needing a 2x upgrade, which is what they did with the Quantum Chemical Plant.
