Dyson Sphere Program - Zen Sandbox, Simple Tips and Blueprints: Mk II Proliferator and Deuteron Fuel
Voiced. I was not entirely with it - talking breaks my focus - so several mistakes were made and corrected during this video. Here it is, warts and all.
Not in the mood for tearing stuff down in the main Zen playthrough at the moment, it's painful. The Excursions needs a couple of simple blueprints, so we'll do those.
We start with a couple of simple tips in blueprint form:
* A wireless power tower charging station that should stamp down anywhere - I keep forgetting to make this properly, now it's done
* Using belts to gather soil pile without filling holes/water and without complaints about needing foundation support - because why waste foundations when all you want is the soil
It is time in the Excursions playthrough to make deuteron fuel rods. We also want them proliferated for the extra power + extra fuel burn length.
* Self-proliferated Mk II build with only coal as the input - at this stage we cannot justify the use of carbon nanotubes to make Mk III
* Deuteron fuel rod build, Mk II proliferated
Going more into the proliferation maths:
* Mk II has 24 sprays x 1.2 = 28 sprays (at 4x coal per Mk II - that is 2x Mk I at 2 coal per and 1 diamond at 2 coal per)
* 2x deuteron fuel rods require 20 deuterium, 1 titanium alloy, 1 supermagnetic ring = 24 sprays (so roughly 4x coal per 2 deuteron fuel rods made + proliferating them)
Multiplying this by 5x means that what would normally be 10 deuteron fuel rods becomes 12. Spending that 20 coal is definitely worth it for an extra 2 fuel rods. Even the coal for Mk I is worth it, for 1 extra fuel rod.
Proliferating the fuel rods for extra power, of course, totally worth the effort. Even if it was only Mk I proliferator, it's cheap for a decent result.
