Since the announcement of the Wii's control scheme, gamers have longed for a single concept; 1:1 swordplay in a Zelda game. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword aims to finally deliver the dream of intuitive, waggle-free Zelda on the Wii.

GameZombie's David Klein spoke with Skyward Sword's Project Marketing Manager, Daniel Orihuela, on the show floor of E3 2010. Orihuela described the game's focus on nailing the core mechanics, specifically in terms of implementing accurate, enjoyable motion controls. He also depicted a sample of Link's new arsenal, including a few returning favorite weapons from the series!

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is slated for release in 2011. Looks like Navi's sitting this one out, too!
