The game consist of five stages of varying gameplay:

Stage 1, is horizontally scrolling. Your rocket passes through a labyrintine space cavern of asteroids, missiles and enemy ships, which you must dodge. You must also destroy depots marked with an "F" to gain extra fuel. Contact with objects or exhaustion of your fuel supply will lose a life.

In Stage 2, you are beset by meteors and by missiles that are launched from the lunar surface. There is also an invincible planetoid that orbits overhead. The aim is to dodge the obstacles and survive for some fixed period of time. In this stage, the second button becomes active and allows you to shoot lasers.

Stage 3, sees you in control of a small unarmed drone that has to retrieve fuel from the surface of the planet back to your rocket. The air above the surface is patrolled by an enemy robot armed with a small gun. The surface of the planet is covered with alien vines that extend and retract and are deadly to the touch.

In stage 4, you have to fight against a formation of enemy ships as they appear from the distance. Once all enemies are destroyed, you are taken to the final stage. Here, a large alien ship and some smaller escorts are attacking your city from above. Occasionally the large ship will drop a bomb. If this bomb reaches the ground, the city is destroyed and you lose a life.

The stage is completed when all of the escorts are destroyed. After this, the game starts over but at a higher level of difficulty.

The game is endless.
