I will admit I'll probably switch off eventually but I wanted to see how the experience pans out if you reject the maidens offer. I was kind of hoping some alternate path would open up. I also wanted to give the enemies a fair chance. If I am to power up, I can already see magic being crushingly brutal to the ai, which is cool and all but I'm not trying to breeze through the experience.
