Similar to the Katana hold stance from DS3, but if it were on onikiri and ubidachi. Instead of just bleed procs, you can also stack poison, frost and rot (grease). And fairly easily, with all the extra hits you can get in after a riposte critical.
The Wakizashi is a very unique weapon, as it has a katana moveset but is also able to use some dagger Ashes of War, but not unsheathe. As far as I know, no other armament can use skills and powerstance from 2 different weapon types.
However, it can also be smithed with any affinity, making the "build" entirely open ended, as nothing that makes it work is exclusive to any class. As long as you meet the minimum requirements for the weapons, it can be viable.
Which is why I didn't include stats, they're essentially redundant for this setup. instead, allocate stats for whatever spells, incants, or other weapons you want to pair it with and just put the appropriate affinity on the wakizashi.
Much better in 1v1 duels than invasions, at least in my experience (hard to parry 3 players at once)

One thing I failed to mention, is that while the description says it doesn't get a critical boost, it actually does. Considering it also has higher base damage than every other dagger and stacks bleed, I'd say it's definitely in the "S tier" category.
